Nathan Murdock
Head coach, Nathan Murdock, has been involved in martial arts for 16 years. A 1st Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Daniel Dring of Living Defense Martial Arts and a Mixed Martial Arts Black under Kaleb Plank of Inferno Martial Arts. Coach Nate has held 3 different title belts throughout his professional MMA career. With over 10 years of martial arts coaching experience, he understands just how to create a fun and safe atmosphere that challenges your mind and body. Nathan Murdock is a proud Arkansas native and University of Arkansas graduate. Passionate about martial arts and personal development, coach Nate wants to understand your goals and help you achieve them.

Katie Games
Katie is a student at the University of Arkansas and has been training under Coach Murdock for several years. She has earned her blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and she trains in kickboxing. For four years, she coached and taught private lessons in swimming to children of all ages. With this experience under her belt, she is driven to helping students learn mixed martial arts and have fun while doing it!

Jerrod Shaffer
Jerrod has been training martial arts for 16 years. He’s a black belt in Inferno Fight Systems as well as trained years of boxing and Taekwondo. His expertise is Boxing, Muay Thai and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu. Jerrod’s focus when coaching is developing dynamic and ambidextrous movement while creating opportunities to strike. His enthusiasm and love for martial arts is seen every time he’s instructing. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Body Mechanics from the University Of Arkansas here in Fayetteville. Jerrod has been teaching Kickboxing and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu for Fayetteville Inferno for the past 4 years. And is a dedicated life long martial artist.

Chris Carter
Chris Carter started training No-Gi grappling and Kickboxing with Coach Nate in 2016. Since then, Coach Chris has earned also trained in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Maui Thai, has been helping with Kids classes for almost 2 years.

We train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing, with influence from Wrestling and Judo, along with cycles of Weapons classes for children.
BJJ is a grappling art, founded on the concept that any person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent by utilizing the appropriate technique and leverage.
Our youth program’s primary goal is to instill valued character traits, such as self-discipline, confidence, and respect. Parents will notice behavioral improvement after just a few classes.
The techniques and philosophies we teach at Meta not only give you the confidence you need in a self-defense situation, but have been proven effective at high-level competition. This is demonstrated by our history of competitive success.
